Greg Helps Make Wishes Come True

Dear Friends and Family:

13-year-old Greg knows all too well the pain and obstacles associated with a life-threatening medical condition. However, his upbeat spirit and genuine wish to help others makes him an "Unsung Hero" in the Western New York community

Greg's latest fundraising efforts have him joining efforts with Global Give Network (GGN), where he has created a custom collectible coin. He will seek a $20 donation for each coin and his supporters will be part of a growing unique program bringing partners and contributors together for worthy causes, as well as contribute to his overall goal of $8,500. He is determined to raise enough funds to grant a local wish here in Western New York. He says, "Helping Make-A-Wish makes me feel good knowing I am helping other kids feel as happy as I did the day my wish was granted."

More About Greg

On Greg's 8th birthday, he arrived home from school to a crowd of fans and loved ones. On that day, his wish was granted to have a Marquis swim spa, granted by Make-A-Wish Western New York. Immediately, and with his school clothes still on, he hopped into his new hot tub and celebrated his dream-come-true. "He just had a big smile, and I knew he wasn't thinking about anything but joy and happiness," says his mom, Lisa.

Greg used that joy and strength from his wish experience as motivation to make a difference. Due to his illness, he faced painful side effects of tumors throughout his body; a major one on his right leg and connected to his nervous system. The swimming spa provided him the therapy he needed, and having it right in his backyard was both convenient and medically-beneficial. Greg was determined to help other children suffering from a life-threatening medical condition have their wishes-come-true, too.

Since his wish, Greg has launched a community-wide effort to give back - raising dollars by selling candy bars, Make-A-Wish stars, volunteering at wish fundraisers, raising awareness by sharing his story, and inspiring his school to also get involved. Each year, Greg is invited to the 97Rock Radio-Thon, where he shares his fundraising success with the organization and over the airwaves. A very determined young boy, Greg has grown into a true ambassador of the Make-A-Wish mission: helping to bring hope, strength and joy to deserving children.

Please support Greg in his efforts to grant a wish!
